Christian Folkert is a Deal Team Analyst at Blackford Capital. Following his internships with Blackford, he joined full-time in 2026. Christian supports the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and value creation of investments across new platform acquisitions, add-on opportunities, and portfolio company strategic initiatives.
History & Education
Christian graduated cum laude from the University of Utah with a BBA in Finance, with an emphasis in Advanced Financial Analysis. Prior to joining Blackford full-time, he interned at the firm as a Deal Team Junior Analyst. Christian also previously interned at Harbor Steel and Bold Furniture and has consulting experience through the Goff Leadership Institute.
Outside of Work
A western Michigan native, Christian enjoys hiking, camping, and fishing in his free time, and is an avid skier. He studied abroad in Italy in the summer of 2024 and has also traveled extensively across Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean, gaining a deep appreciation for different cultures along the way.
