Kameron Norwood

Finance and Business Economics Major
Grand Valley State University, Class of ‘22
Future Plans: Deloitte – Incoming Business Technology Solutions Consultant

What type of work will you be doing at Blackford during your internship?
I will be working on the deal team during my time at Blackford, which will consist of analyzing prospective companies, seeking out new deals, and preparation of presentation materials for investors. I’m excited to continue developing my skill set before I start my full time career at Deloitte in the spring.

Riley Snider

Finance and Economics Major
Grand Valley State University, Class of ‘23
Future Plans: Deloitte – Incoming Consultant

I believe that the financial modeling, PowerPoint skills, and overall project management capabilities I’ll take away from working in private equity for an extended period of time will largely contribute to a successful career as consultant at Deloitte. I believe it will be incredibly beneficial to already have a great underlying knowledge of many overlapping concepts before starting full-time at Deloitte as well.

Christopher Sharrar

Finance and Business Economics Major
Grand Valley State University, Class of ’26

What made Blackford stand out to you as you were looking at internship opportunities?
Blackford came highly recommended to me by several of my friends and peers – everyone seemed to enjoy their experience and speak highly about the program. Since I started my internship this summer, I’ve loved getting to be part of the amazing culture at Blackford. Everyone works together really well and is incredibly helpful, supportive and encouraging.

James Doreza

Finance and Economics Major
Grand Valley State University, Class of ’25

What made Blackford stand out to you as you were looking at internship opportunities?
I was attracted by Blackford’s success as a private equity firm when I initially applied, but I realized that none of this could have been accomplished without the incredibly wise and intelligent team. I feel proud to work and connect with such talented individuals. I’ve previously interned both at Blackford and one of our portfolio companies, Mopec, and I’m looking forward to having another semester on the team to gain a deeper understanding of the world of Private Equity, improve my financial analysis skills, and to further my industry-specific knowledge.

Olivia Mans

Accounting Major
Hope College, Class of ’24

Why did you choose to intern with Blackford Capital this fall?
I chose to intern with Blackford Capital this fall because of their culture of excellent leaders and environment that is collaborative and engaging. The team at Blackford is welcoming and open to guiding you throughout your internship experience. This program provides interns with the valuable opportunity of hands-on, real-world experience in a field where it is difficult to find such experience.

Madison Donovan

Finance and Marketing Dual Major
Grand Valley State University, Class of ’26

What are you most looking forward to about being an intern at BFC?
I’m excited to learn more about the specifics of private equity and how large of a role it plays in our economy. I am also looking forward to the experience of working with this team. The Blackford staff are all very eager to learn about the people that they work with, whether that be an intern or a partner. For example, Blackford founder Martin Stein makes sure to talk to the interns any time he’s in the office.
