Ben joined the Blackford investment team bringing experience from previous roles in entrepreneurial investing and management consulting growth strategy within manufacturing, life sciences, and banking.
History
Prior to joining Blackford, Ben was a Senior Consultant within Deloitte’s Strategy & Analytics practice. He specialized in growth strategy and new product launch for clients across multiple industries. Ben was responsible for financial modeling, industry / data analysis, budgeting, and managing operations teams to execute on growth initiatives for clients. While pursuing his MBA Ben worked in Venture Capital, as well as with start-ups to secure funding and develop operational capabilities.
Education
Ben earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he played Varsity Football. He completed his MBA at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, where he served as VP of the Zell Lurie Commercialization Venture Fund.
