What’s a conversation you’ve had that changed the way you think about something?
This was very recent and was less of a conversation and more from a few podcasts, and it is about ‘leverage’ but in terms of financial leverage, but more of cognitive leverage. Simply put, I have been trying extremely hard to create systems for the smallest things such as a morning routine at home, workday planning, next workday planning, work blocks during work hours, and exploring better habits in life. For some, these concepts are natural and nothing new, but I have recently spent time on this and an eager to see how this influences my quality of life.

Coming from India to Michigan, what has been something you miss from home?
Easy answer, it’s the food – particularly indo-chinese food. It is the best thing in the world and while I can cook it at home, the actual restaurant / street vendor Chinese food in India makes me cry!

How did you learn to cook and where do you draw inspiration for your recipes?
We (me and my younger brother) started cooking since I was 16 years old, when our mom was not well for a few days, and she told us – “this is your chance to figure out if you can eat nice food on your own instead of eating instant ramen (Maggi for those who know!). Since then, me and my younger brother have been killing it in the kitchen. We spent most of COVID posting our food in Instagram for fun and it helped get through the pandemic without losing our minds.
Most / all our recipes come from YouTube or Instagram.

What’s a tradition, routine, or ritual that you hope you never lose?
Being able to sleep on the plane when traveling for work trips. It is indeed a precious talent that very few have the privilege of having.

What’s a random fact about yourself that almost nobody at work knows?
I gave away my electric guitar to a random bartender / musician a week after my wedding. He makes Instagram videos with it.
